ROBERT’S LAKE REPORTS
For the 2010 year, I have decided to concentrate entirely on the guide service and will not be fishing any tours this year. I will be providing lake reports and fishing information that I believe will help anyone that is planning on visiting one of the lakes that the Double “R” guides on.
FALCON LAKE REPORT – APRIL 3, 2010
Falcon is approximately 10’ low at this time, although it has caught some water from Lake Amistad as they are releasing into Falcon.
Water temps are ranging from 70 – 75, with the air temps being around the high 80’s – low 90’s. Winds are unpredictable this time of year, as one day it’s forecasted for winds to blow around 10 mph and it blows 30, etc.
Water clarity is considerably clear for Falcon Lake this time of year.
Fish are holding on primary drop offs and points ranging from 18’ – 22’ of water. Carolina rigging large plastic baits, such as worms, flukes, and lizards with at least a ¾ oz. weight or larger are producing fish up to 10#. A good stout rod along with braided line is a must for getting these fish up and to the boat.
Right now fishing is good at Falcon, so don’t miss out!
